Murphy Campbell

Murphy Campbell has deep roots. Western North Carolina is a place her family settled hundreds of years ago. Born in the foothills and coming from a long line of mountain folk – she seeks to draw up a long forgotten modal sound. Her current project Revenant is a tribute to her ancestors that sang the old ballads. Each song is an effort to preserve and celebrate Appalachian heritage.
